Hello everyone! Welcome to a year later interview with the biggest sims 2 fashion site ever! All About STyle... Well me and my good friend had a interview... the head designer of All About Style... the lady who started it all Judie!
It will be almost a year ago we had our very first interview with your lovely and very famous site, All About Style. So much has happen over the year I must say. All About Style was featured on The Sims 2 main sit! What a huge honor. I’m sure many people have booked your site as their favorites! Well our last interview was very short and straight to the point while also learning more about you and your interest and how you got started creating outfits for The Sims 2.
Before you wasn’t making many designer fashions. Now its more designer collections and I must say it is very fierce and I’m sure you get many downloads a day. Which collection has been the top downloading one so far? Which one of the designer collections is your favorite collection? I remember I asked you who your favorite designer was and you said that it was Ralph Lauren, now seeing some of your newest collections featuring designs from Ralph Lauren new fall collection, how does your favorite designer influence you on your designs? I know you love his contrast between masculine and feminine.
I do enjoy doing runway fashions....I think that
it is challenging to try to represent them as accurately as possible. They are a popular download...perhaps because they are different and trendy.
We all know by now that your love for elder’s fashion is by for amazing! I’ am happy we have a good designer that designs nice clothing for our elder Sims. Any new collections are ideas in the making for the upcoming designs for the elders?
I continue to enjoy doing things for the seniors....They are a popular download but still not as popular as the adults. I hope to make some new meshes for them in the future....I ususally start with the adult female meshes and then try to represent the elder body type....The thing that I dislike the most in Maxis elder meshes are the extremely thin arms and the very fatty lower leg....When I do make a elder mesh I do fatten the adult arm and leg but not too much. Then try to duplicate the elder shape.
So we see new designer collections almost every week. EMA would love to know some upcoming new designs your in the process of making and will make in the couple of months. How do you go about picking the designer fashions and looks?
I pick my designers by whose clothing I like but also picking
one that has enough good pictures to create a collection. I usually end up making my own fabric so I do need good pictures.
I’ve also notice a lot of new meshes with your designs. Any favorite mesher yet? Also which meshes do you like using the most? I’ve seen your talent and you can do wonders with many different kinds of meshes.
There are so many fabulous meshes out there now (still not many for the elders!). I used to have my favorites meshers but now there are so many good ones that I no longer have favorites....I do scour the sites looking for new meshes. I love trying them out.
Also in the last interview we asked if it was one thing you would change about your site what would it be and you said mostly NOTHING! BUT….because you didn’t know a lot about html and would love to learn more about it, you thought that it was very basic and to the point, which I LOVE! Any new ideas of creating a logo sign?
I have no plans to redesign my site at this time. Besides I think people like continuity when they visit a site...Mine while not a glamorous site with bells and whistles is still a very easy site to navigate....I like that. Any site changes will probably come with Sims3....I have no idea quite what to expect. I guess we will all learn in time. I would like to continue to make things for Sims2 though.
You are my favorite Sims 2 designer, and I’ am being very honest when I say this, but you’re the best and I’ am happy you find this hobby very lasting and fun because many creators give up and tend to their real life lives…. But this is your life… this is your hobby… and with out you and your wonderful skills… we would have Sims looking a mess… well some of them…
As I’m looking through the female section of swim wear and undies I don’t see a lot of designs….now please don’t get me wrong, you have some amazing ones up, but I want more haha Your swim wear designs are amazing…. And the VS collection was one of my favorites…. Any new swim wear are undies coming soon we should know about?
You mention that I my undies and swimwear collection are rather small....I guess it is because they are just not my thing....not my favorite thing to do...I should get some more up though....There are some nice designer sleepwear collections that I have been looking at.
